Sent some emails today, applications for various positions - as teacher, tutor, teacher/administrator, classic guitar teacher, college faculty. The last one - from St. Paul QC. I turned their offer down last year because I was already starting in FHMS. I sure hope I can land a job in that school.
I did not spend a lot today. I had to put air on two of the van's tires - but it did not even reach an as (Roman copper). I sacrificed my daily Coke, as I said I would. I got paid for the 10 silvers, and paid out a silver and a denarius for the e-load I have. Morgiana (my version) came home finally and she paid her debt to me (3/10 denarius). She was surprised because I did not tell her to just buy me a Coke. "I need the cash". I drank a lot of water today.
I am glad Morgiana arrived. I will be free during afternoons now.
This morning, I also realized that I still have money in my bag. This is not the bag I put my other money, but the usual bag I bring. I think it has more or less 3 silvers.
I also watched 2 movies resembling my life. One was the "Night at the Museum". The guy there cannot settle on jobs. He had to accept some security guard jobs at the museum just to earn money. Last night, I wrote to my acquiantance - who is a successful trainor. Now, she told me she has a new job - she will be a curator at a museum. I wrote - although I don't think it was proper - do you hire teachers there? Then, today, I watched this film and I said to myself - I am like this museum guy. Museum. Also.
I just finished watching "Dick and Jane" starring Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni. Well, it's a lot like my story again. Guy got "promoted" as VP, told her wife to quit her job, wife quits job, only for them to find out his company is already bankrupt. Similar story about being out of job. Of course, my company is not bankrupt. And also, my wife did not quit her job. She is very sharp and won't do something like that - even if I announce to her that I got promoted to be the president of the planet.
This coming week, I will bleed some money since I will have to pay Meralco and the water company. Sure hope I get a job next month.
Margie wrote to me. She's the founder of my former company. She's just asking me how I've been and all. I don't know if she is trying to win me over again since she certainly heard a lot of people have resigned. And that the remaining employees number only 5. From 11. Well. That's life. Theirs, not mine.
